I went to Central High this morning and had a chance to catch up with DaJour for a quick interview.

Q: So I watched your highlight tape and saw you pretty much play everywhere, where is your favorite place to play on the field?

A: “It would have to be defense.”

Q: With you not being the tallest guy, how are you able to have so much success at the cornerback position when often going up against guys with more size?

A: “It’s really my friend Tyler. He’s like 6’3 or 6’4. I always try to go up against him because you have to go up against the best. I try to match my talents with his and just compete for Friday nights. I was lucky enough to get a tall guy like him (Tyler) at Central.”

Q: Any hints on what you will be playing at Shorter?

A: “I’ll be playing defensive back or returning punts and kicks.”

Q: Can you take us through your recruiting process?

A: “It was very long. I just got back from a visit in North Carolina actually. I’ve just been talking to my family. I didn’t really listen too much to my friends because it’s my decision, but I still wanted to have my family’s support. It finally came down to a decision and I’m glad that I made it . I’m glad it’s over with.”

Q: Why Shorter?

A: “I feel like Shorter will be a good college for me. It’s not really because of the size, it’s just that I feel like I can help the team in a way. I like the atmosphere up there. I just feel like it’s a great college for me. It’s not too big and it’s not too small.”

DaJour will be returning to Carrollton in a football uniform in 2017 when Shorter will make their annual  visit to University Stadium to take on West Georgia.
